To the Coughlin Family..... the Navy Seabees of the NMCB 71 Association would like to express our sadness in your loss of your Father and Husband and to be a little selfish our first Commanding Officer. He was a well respected leader to his Officers as well as his enlisted men. He will always be remembered by many of us as a fair and honest CO no matter what rank or rate. Please accept our deepest sympathy. "May he have fair winds and following sea's in his journey home".
