Rob Chase Obituary

Rob Chase December 28, 2015 Wells, Maine It is with deep sadness to let you know Rob Chase passed on the morning of December 28, 2015. He survived glioblastoma brain cancer five years longer than the determined one to two years prognosis. Rob will be remembered for his kindness, gentleness, as an artist and dear friend to many. He had a way with cats and his most recent feline companion, Hopi, was with Rob until the end. His family took the very best care of Rob. Blessings to his sisters Martha, Nancy, Elizabeth, and Jennifer and his brother Steve, all of their spouses, and Rob's nephews and nieces. I am a very close friend of Rob. We worked together for many years, dated and remained best friends over the years. I would like to hear from one of his sisters, or Steven, if you get this message.
I'm so devastated to hear he has died. I just spoke to him in November to wish him a happy birthday.

I would like to send all my deepest sympathies to Robs family and friends.

We were good friends during his year at the Cambridge School of Weston so I was delighted when he sought me out several years ago after his return from CA. He remembered the spring weekend he spent w/ me and my parents at our house in Goose Rocks.

When we first got together it was as if the intervening 40ish years weren't there. I guess the middle school kid remains in us throughout.
It was amazing how our heads were in so much the same place.

In our last talk in the fall, his spirits were good and hopeful about starting a new therapy, sadly now to no result.

I will retain most found memories of him forever. He was a really good guy. Rest in peace Rob!

We were saddened to learn of Rob's passing. We were his tenants in Arundel for 12 years and thought the world of him. Great man! We're so sorry for your heavy loss.

Sincere condolences and sympathies to the extended Chase over the loss of Rob.
My family moved to Watertown in 1967 and as an uprooted high school sophmore, Rob was of of the first people to befriend me. I have been forever grateful. Never forget the winter weekend trips to Wells.
One of the most naturally gifted artists I have ever encountered.
He will be sorely missed.

My deepest sympathy to all the family. I went to school with Robert in Watertown. I saw him at our 40th class reunion 5 years ago. I'm glad I got to see him.
My prayers go out to Rob and his family. He was a great guy.

I feel so blessed to have gotten to know Rob better since moving here to Maine in 2007 and to have him come with Jen and the boys to my home for family meals. It was also a gift to go on hikes with him on a wooded trail near his home and for him to point out wild flowers on our walk.

My heart and soul go out to Martha, Liz, Nancy, Steve and Jen on the loss of your brother.
