All of our love, thoughts and prayers go out to you Heather, and your entire family. Del and I were blessed to take our children to Hawaii and stay at the Grand Wailea for our 20th Anniversary. What a special trip that turned out to be!!! We had the fortune of meeting you and Shon and the girls and really enjoying those 2 weeks hanging out with you guys, 11 years ago. It was a blast and your daughters were such good company for my daughter, Cara. We were sad when you had to leave before us. We can never forget how kind and generous of a man Shon was. One man can have such an impact without even realizing it, I am sure. Amazing!!! The Covid pandemic kept me from being able to fly out to be with you guys. As a nurse, I was needed to work in our county vaccine clinics in Pennsylvania. The tributes and videos were amazing. It looks like you honored him in first class. Nothing was missed. We will continue to pray for all of you. I know he is there beside you everyday helping you along the way. Love, Maureen & Del

Deepest sympathy to Heather and her daughters. I was just an optician in a shop in Cardiff near Shon´s Office. He was so easy to be around, he came in for eyewear over the years. He was tall, handsome and incredibly humble. Over the years he became an amazing friend and supporter of the business, bringing his family and friends to see us for eye care. I am so sad for the loss of this incredible man! Clearly he will be deeply missed in so many ways. Forever Grateful our paths crossed. Praying so much for the family.

Shon was always the most thoughtful and courteous without ever expecting anything in return He was always going above and beyond to put others happiness first. He was a leader, supporter, and most of all a friend to everyone who knew him.
On several occasions we were blessed to be guests in his home and go on trips with him as we journeyed the many soccer events... We especially enjoyed our trip in 2018 in Washington where he arranged for a team event at the Family Fun Center. It brought back many fond childhood memories. His generosity and good fortune made the team feel especially important when he’d take them on his private plane to tournaments. He’s created some many lasting memories and contributions. His life will always be remembered and his company greatly missed.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Heather, Megan, Sydney and Brooke in this time of grief they should know that they are in our hearts and prayers.

My condolences go out to Heather and the girls. I am so sorry for their loss.
I only knew Shon for a short time but If I can say some words to him, it would be thank you for your generosity, kindness and humbleness. You gave my daughter the opportunity to play with your daughter a sport she loves and thank you very much. I don’t know anyone as generous, kind and humble as a man you were and you will be missed.

So sad to hear....my condolences to you. In his picture above, I see the same smile that was always present in my class at Murdock. I was Shon's 6th grade teacher. Not long ago, I was talking to a checker at the Bayside Market in Coronado about Shon. I proudly told her about being his teacher. Penny, we talked about you, too. I remember going to your lovely home which you opened to our entire 6th grade class for graduation.....very brave of you!
As I read Shon's obituary, I wasn't surprised about all that he achieved....especially his thoughtful, caring manner. In class, he was always smiling, willing to help and a kind friend to all....a diligent student. Also, a jokester which brought fun moments as we worked. He strode amongst his classmates with confidence and as a leader.....always dressed with style, hair perfectly in place ready for each day.
My thoughts are with you all....tragic to have lost him so young...
My best to you as you somehow endure his passing, Leslie Granger

We didn't know Shon well, but met him now and then at Sprout's meetings. He was always friendly, enthusiastic, and obviously very capable; in short, a good man.
Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss.

To the Boney Family, please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your son, father and husband. I first met Shon in the 70s when we were both kids, back in the Windmill Farms days. I'm glad to hear Shon had a full and rich life. I know he will live on forever in your hearts and fondly in your memories.

My best friend when I was 13, very giving person and family. Stan or Penny always gave me rides to and from baseball practice. An awesome baseball player, I would stay overnight often and just enjoyed the family so much. They gave me my first job at Boneys in El Cajon and the also introduced me to health foods. I miss you Shon.
