F. Bailey Obituary

Dr. F. Bruce Bailey March 20, 1954-March 24, 2020 Our hearts are broken by the tragic loss of a Kind man, a caring Dentist, a sweet Brother and a loyal Friend. Dr. F. Bruce Bailey was a native son from San Luis Obispo. He was a local high school athlete, a Cowboy, and a man with tremendous Faith. For those who knew him well, he was generous, loyal and always had a gregarious smile for his family and friends. Bruce was a three-sport letterman at San Luis Obispo High School in football, basketball and golf. In college he played football and golf. Bruce loved teaching his nieces, nephews and other friends' children how to golf, ride horses and throw a football, baseball or softball. Bruce will be missed by all. Not having Bruce with us, takes our breath away. He kept his faith close and went gracefully when the Bells Tolled. Bruce was an avid member of the San Luis Obispo Elks Lodge, Eagles Club, SLO Riders Association and the Cal Poly Rodeo Club. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Dora and Bruce Bailey and his sister Allison Bailey. With luv from his Sisters, Jennifer Bailey, Leslie Earley, Patti Giovanelli and Dominique Faedi. And much luv from the Bailey nieces and nephews: Spencer Draper, Natalie Giovanelli, Jordan Hughes, Vincent Earley, Blair Draper, John Lintner and Garrett Giovanelli. And Lots of luv from the Soldavini nieces & Nephews: Serenna Garza, Shane Johnson & Anthony Johnson.

It´s been four years since your passing and I still have a hard time believing it. Watching March Madness now just isn´t the same since u left. Boy did we sure have some fun filling out our brackets and watching games from the time it started till the championship game was over. I know you´re free of pain so ride em cowboy till we meet again.

RIP Doc, Beetle, Dr. B, Bruce
Friends since childhood and I will miss your radiant smile, humor and friendship. So sorry to lose you so young. You were a good friend and brother to me and we shared many good times; to many to mention here. A talented athlete, Dr.,but most important a generous man to many. Unfortunately the ending didn't turn out the way you wanted, but you were courageous in your battle as always. Well Cowboy you are now free of pain, free of troubles; gallop on that trail to eternity with so many souls there to greet you.
We will meet again, but till now,
RIP Doc I loved ya like a brother.

Although I hadn't seen Bruce since Mission HS closed its doors in 1970, his name frequently came up in conversations with others who continued their academic journey @ SLOSH. He will be remembered for his fun-loving jokesters antics on the bus rides to/from elementary and HS as well as his uplifting encouragement to others. Sending my aloha to all his family and close friends! Rest in Paradise, my friend!

Bruce was a great guy. I played ball with him in college he was an exceptional athlete. We spent a lot of time together on horseback and he basically taught me to golf. Just a joy to know him work with him and be around him. It was a pleasure to have known him.
