Geraldine Fisher Obituary

Jerry Fisher, 91, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at her home in Fresno, Calif. Jerry exemplified enthusiasm and challenge. She grew up in Arkansas, went to business college in New Orleans before her move to California. She had an avid interest in things political and was active in Republican politics for many years. She served as secretary to the Republican Central Committee in San Luis Obispo, and one year as secretary on the Grand Jury of San Luis Obispo County. Later, she became a prolific writer and was published in the Fresno Bee and magazines. Jerry is survived by her son, Kermit Lynch Jr. (Gail) of Berkeley, Calif., and LeBeausset, France; daughter, Lynn Ann Fisher Weiss (Fred) of Fresno, Calif.; a cherished sister, Tina Evers of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.; and four loving grandchildren Erika and Kimberly Weiss and Marley and Anthony Lynch. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, John Bradley "Brad" Fisher. A private graveside service will be held, where she will be laid to rest beside Brad at the Mausoleum in San Luis Obispo. Donations in Jerry''s name may be sent to Valley Animal Center, 3934 N Hayston Ave., Fresno, CA 93726.

I am sorry for your loss. My parents had "Fisher's Pool" in Fresno, in the late 40's and early 50's. 2 of their children were born in Fresno. I have a sister still living there. My parents retired to SLO in 1973. God Bless you. Jeanne Fisher Taylor

It is sad to hear of the passing of Jerry Fisher. She was one great woman who knew me my entire life. My condolences to Sandy (Kermit) and his family, also to Lynn and her family. Jerry, R.I.P.
