John Dorn was a fixture in my life from 1954-1960, when we were children in the Linda Vista neighborhood of Pasadena. Along with his brother Pete, his sister Diana and their cousin Hank Dorn and his sisters and neighbor David Smith we were a tight little group of close friends at a time and place I now see as an earthly paradise.

John Dorn was friendly and always wore a smile. He made time for me when I needed a kind word or advice. His life lessons provided endless stories. You will be truly missed my friend. I look forward to seeing you again. Shay Marlowe
