Ron and I were friends and classmates growing up in Newkirk. I'm grateful to know that I will see him again someday. My prayers for God's strength and comfort for his family during this time of loss. Ron was always one of my favorites.

Bar none, Ron was the best man I ever knew in my life. He gave of himself more than any person I know of. He left footsteps on the sands of time. this poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow describes him for me:
A Psalm of Life
Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,

Find us farther than to-day.

Ron was a great man... and this is the part that fits...

Pat, I am so sorry for your loss. In the early years you guys were such an inspiration. When you and I went to Hanford I still remember and love meeting your family. God Bless your and all the kids. Dear Pat and family, I don't know if you remember us--we were in the same babysitting co-op when all our children were little--at least Ronnie Jr. and Jessica. It was such a surprise to meet again when Krisiten and her family moved to Atascadero. Please accept our deepest sympathies in the loss of Ron.
We still remember how baby Jessica didn't like me but really liked Dave!! Love to you all.

Uncle Ron, god wanted you home for whatever reasons you needed to go I will never forget your words of wisdom and prayers when I needed them most. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have wonderful memories of times I spent with Ronnie when we would visit Uncle Bob and Aunt Dorothy's home. He was a big part of my childhood. We always had good times when Mom(Aunt Lella and Dad (Uncle Melvin) would go visit all our family in Oklahoma. It was always so special because we did not have any family in Louisiana.
All the Aunts, Uncles, Grandma Dollie, and cousins always came to Aunt Dorthie's house. Great times!
