Morro Bay, California - Bill was born in Denver, CO to Joan H. and Victor W. Bartlett and passed away at his home in Morro Bay, CA on April 12, 2023. Bill grew up in Goehner, NE and attended grade school in Goehner where he had his mother for his teacher for two years. He graduated from Seward High and attended Peru State College. Bill married Deborah Nissen of rural Raymond, NE in 1977. They lived in Lincoln where they had three children. Bill lived in Morro Bay, CA for 16 years prior to his death. He is preceded in death by Deborah and his parents Vic and Jody Bartlett. He is survived by his children Victor William "Beau" Bartlett (Amy) of Lincoln, Brandy Bartlett of Colorado Springs, CO, and Megan Jacobsen (Ryan) of Colorado Springs, CO. Bill is also survived by four grandchildren. Bill loved gardening, and anyone who walked by his patio in Morro Bay would stop and admire all of his beautiful flowers. Bill loved his friends, family, golfing, kayaking and the ocean. He will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to all of the family members. "Bill" was loved by the people who knew him and will be missed dearly. I was privileged to know him and have many fond memories of times spent in his company. Always the gracious host, "Bill" always had a smile, great music, a cold beverage and a fantastic view of "The Bay" to offer those who came to visit. It saddens my soul that my friend is gone, but I know he's smiling, playing a round of golf or kayaking and drinking a cold one for all time in his final resting place. My heart is heavy. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Bill was a fun loving and generous friend. We had many good times sitting on his patio enjoying food and drinks with friends and folks stopping by to admire his flower arrangements. He will be missed. RIP buddy!

Bill and I had some great times playing HORSE on the driveway of his parents´ home in Goehner. I have missed Bill and other late night shenanigans I enjoyed with Bill post-high school.
