John Marmolejo Obituary

John Anthony Marmolejo, a resident of San Marcos, was called to his eternal rest and was escorted by the angels to be with our Heavenly Father on Jan. 5, 2009 at the age of 40. Born Nov. 3, 1968 in San Marcos, he was a beloved father, son, brother and uncle. He is preceded in death by his loving grandfather, Marcelino Marmolejo.Survivors include his wife Nancy Marmolejo of San Marcos; daughters Amanda Lombardo and husband LouJack, Isabel Marmolejo and husband Albert Gonzales, Valarie Marmolejo and Mia Rose Marmolejo, all of San Marcos; sons Joe Angel Marmolejo and John Anthony Marmolejo, both of San Marcos; mother Lucy “Daisy” Marmolejo of San Marcos; father Joe Luis Garcia of Austin; brothers Michael Marmolejo of San Marcos and Steven Marmolejo and wife Marissa of Wimberley; Irma Marmolejo and Elias Gonzales of San Marcos; loving grandmother Maria Juarez Marmolejo of San Marcos and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.Visitation will be today from noon to 7:30 p.m. at Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos. Recitation of Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. at Los Angeles Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in San Marcos. Rev. Father Larry Stehling will officiate. Interment will follow in San Juan Cemetery in Reedville. Deacon Lalo Duran will officiate.Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Tamez, Chris Gonzales, Albert Gonzales, Scott Katzer, Felix Tames Jr. and Santana Hiracheta.Honorary pallbearer will be David Marmolejo.Arrangements entrusted to the Villasenor Family - Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, 392-3676.
