Marlon Bland Quibodeaux, 60, went to be with his Lord on the evening of Thursday, September 22, 2022. Marlon was born on March 27, 1962 to Gilbert and Martha Bogan Quibodeaux in Beaumont, Texas.
Marlon met Tiffany Harrison in 1985. He was attending his last College and Career Sunday school class at Cathedral in the Pines (he had just graduated from Lamar University); and Tiffany was attending class for the first time (she had just graduated high school). The Sunday school teacher asked "who would like this pretty young lady to sit by them?" and Marlon raised his hand. They then sat together through the morning service, and he asked if she would like to out to Mazzio's with church friends that same evening. After eating pizza, Marlon and Tiffany sat in the parking lot for 3 hours sharing each other's life stories and even talked about getting married! 12 weeks later, on December 21, 1985 they were married, and at the time of his passing they had been married for 36 years.
Marlon was the founder of the "Last Days of Christ" in Beaumont. He also was instrumental in the creation of the Empty Cross in Kerrville with artist Max Greiner.
Marlon was a lover of food but especially frozen custard, coconut cream pie, fried shrimp and his beloved Green Tea, which was evident by the trail of half-empty bottles around the house. He was in touch with his emotional side as well, connecting with all of his favorite Hallmark Channel movies, especially the Christmas ones. He enjoyed floating the river, antiquing and traveling with Tiffany. Marlon was dedicated to advancing the Kingdom of the Lord. He was not shy about telling everyone about the Good News of Christ.
Marlon was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Quibodeaux and great aunt, Lucile Bogan.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Tiffany; his son Tyler Quibodeaux; daughter and son-in-law, Autumn and Clifton Garrett; grandchild Rayne Elias Garrett; brother Royce Quibodeaux; sister Denise Hoffpauir and aunt Betty Blanchard.
