I loved Amanda, she was one of my closest friends. It seemed like I spent more time with her, at the dance studio, than with my own family. She was like the older sister I always dreamed of having. I have so many found memories of her, from dance conventions, competitions, and endless hours of rehearsal, she taught me so much more than dance, and I will carry her memory, and all that she taught me, with me my entire life.

Our family has known Amanda a long time. After her service it was fun and sad to see all the pictures of her growing up. (actually blossoming into a beautiful young lady.) I laugh when I remember her dressed up as a starfish in The Little Mermaid play- her little arms sticking out! She and I were close friends for awhile when she helped me work on my tv show. We would talk for hours on the phone. My son Josh was a very special friend to Amanda. He was willing to give her one of his kidneys so that she could have a better life. We were devasted when at the VERY LAST minute, the surgery had to be canceled. Amanda stayed strong and comforted us, when it should have been the other way around. She was an incredible person and her short life makes us realize that we should never take life or our loved ones for granted. Live life to the fullest. God bless her family and her sweet Nick.

God bless Amanda and the joy she will bring to heaven. I'm sure Amanda is leading dance classes with the angels at her side. I've seen her delightful students light up in her presence. I've seen the love that she and Nick shared by the smiles on their faces when they looked at each other. This is a tragic loss for all of us but she is at peace and at rest with the good Lord and dancing angels! I will always remember her charm and grace!
My prayers are with you.
with love from Lonee Hoffman (friend of the Mayo family)

Anyone who met Amanda instantly felt her strength and love for Nick, her family, and friends (and shopping). She is an inspiration and will remain in our hearts and thoughts.

Amanda was a courageous, caring, very special person. She will be missed by all, but especially by her fiance, Nick Mayo. We know that we will miss her dearly, but we also know that she is with God now.
We love you, Amanda.

I grew up with Amanda in our second home, back then known as BRT. We danced together for so many years that I can't even keep track. I will never forgot the enthusiasm and special touch that she brought to our dance class everyday. She was a fun-loving, goofy, and extremely sincere women. I can't begin to express the loss that we are all feeling. In the end, I wish I could have gotten the chance to tell her the things that I never did in the past. Well, Amanda, I love you and wish that we could have been closer these past few years. I will miss you terribly, but I know that you are no longer suffering where you are. Show those angels your grooves and keep smiling!!
Larry, Lisa, Tony, Nick and the rest of the family...I am so sorry for your loss, but just know that Amanda will be watching over every one of you at all times. Her family, were the most important individuals in her life, and one could tell just by talking with her. She will always be with you. God bless you all.

I love you Amanda. I have so many things to say to you that I didn't get to say. I can't write them here, but I will tell God so he can tell you. Please don't worry about Nick... we are all going to watch over him. When I look at Nick, I see you. It makes me sad, and it makes me happy. You are such a beautiful girl. We are lucky to love you. Missing you every day.

Amanda and I were best friends from 9th grade to 11th. Her home was my home. Lisa and Larry were like my second parents. Beautiful memories flash through my head and my heart. I'll never forget houseboating or dancing in the living room or swimming in the pool. I'll never forget driving the golf cart up and down that hill. I sat by her side at the hospital and laughed with her. She fought against the odds and did it with a smile. She had a beautiful spirit full of life. We would talk on the phone for hours and never run out of things to say. When she met Rosie O'donnell she brought me back an autographed picture. It means more to me now then it ever did.
My heart is breaking because I was never able to say "I'm sorry." We go through life hurting those we love because we think someday we can make it better.
I'm sorry I never made it better.
Larry and Lisa, thank you for letting me be part of your life.

Amanda was a bright shining star who will not be forgotten. She was always smiling and ready to help in any situation. She loved her family and they loved her and did everything they could for her. Her family was devoted, supportive, loving and caring towards Amanda and she became a wonderful role model for all of us to follow. I am devasted that she was taken from us at such a young age with her whole life ahead of her. I am sure she has the people in Heaven dancing and enjoying her already.
Heavenly Father, please comfort the Olivo family and all the people who are grieving with them. Please comfort us all and remind us that Amanda is in a wonderful place with no more pain. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen

Amanda was my best friend from 4th grade---7th grade. We spent our time talking on the phone, swimming, jumping on the trampoline, and playing with our brother and sister mini daschuhands. Lisa would always take us to Angels by the Sea to get another angel for amanda's collection. For my birthday one year, amanda gave me my own angel, I still have it and will always remember our times together.

Although I never had the oppertunity to meet Amanda I have followed her story in the sentinal and saw her once at Macys(I wasn't brave enough to say anything to her).I have always wanted to contact her to ask her about her experiences growing up I deeply regret never having done so. Our son was born with a similar kidney disorder and is now almost 9 I am very sad to hear of her passing I know this has been a long struggle for your family. My son Brayden also loves to dance. I wish you all the very best it sounds like in her short life she touched many. My Deepest Sympathy, Kirsten Attlesey
