Andrea was born in Santa Cruz, California in May 8, 1947 to John and Elenora Spezia. She went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2022 in Santa Cruz, California. She passed at home with many of her loved ones around her.
She married Richard Criswell on September 7, 1969. They loved, supported and cared for each other for 52 years. She was a loving mom and proud nana. She was "Auntie Andi" to numerous nephews and nieces. She was close to her cousins here and in Italy. After her sister's death, her nieces Wendy Nolan and Vicki Dodson became like her daughters.
She had a caring, loving heart and kept in contact with all of her relatives. She was willing to help anyone as best as she could. She had many friends that she kept in contact with, both old and new, because she cared.
Throughout her life, Andrea worked as an office manager for Cimarelli's Plumbing and as a volunteer in various school offices. Andrea was a wonderful cook and enjoyed many family and holiday get togethers, making sure everyone had enough to eat. She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling in an RV, and various trips to Italy to visit her extended family. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Andrea is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard Criswell; her children John and Brian Criswell, Eric Hammer, James and Dolores Cox, and Sam and Josie Frank; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 6 nieces, and 3 nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Elenora Spezia, and her sister Bernadine Dodson.
Andrea was laid to rest on March 26, 2022 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Santa Cruz California. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz County, 940 Disc Dr., Scotts Valley, CA 95066 in memory of Andrea Criswell.
We will miss her, but we are better for having had her in our lives!
