Bette Joyce Bryant, age 78, born Nov. 19, 1930, died Feb. 26, 2009 at Santa Cruz Healthcare Center. Bette was born in Texas, and moved to Kingsburg, CA as a young child. She attended school there, graduating in 1949. After graduation, she worked at Gottschalks, and later at Challenge creamery. She married Jack Bonander in 1952, and they had one child, James. She later married Raymond Bryant. After Raymond's death, she moved to Santa Cruz where she resided for over 30 years. She is survived by a nephew, Larry Carlson of Pleasanton, a niece, Sandra Snow of Fresno, and her first husband Jack of Fresno. Thanks to Susan Barnes for the friendship and care, to step-daughter Rene Sebold for her love and care, and to the staff and nurses of SC Healthcare Center. No services are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel.
