Long Lost Friend

February 7, 2018

Something made me google your name today. That's when it hit me in the face. As I sit here typing with tears in my eyes, I realize how short life really is. I am so sorry Debbie, for not being there for you. I let life get in the way and now I can never get back what is now lost. I think about you often about how good you were to me and I really appreciated all that you did. Im just sorry that I cannot tell you. I will met you again someday in Heaven but until then Chow! Love you!

To my loving family,
When I was younger I always wanted to be just like Debra. She was so beautiful always dressed beautiful and I could never figure out how she could wear her high heels. When she walked into a room you new it. I couldn't wait for Thanksgiving knowing I would get to see her and brag to my friends when she pulled up in her black vet!
My heart and prayers go out to cousins Ronnie, Kenny, Geovanni and Nicholas. Loving you always, Nicole

Goodbye our loving Sister, we will both miss our talks, debates and banters and the sharing of all of our family's successes and failures. Your absence will leave a void that is impossible to fill, as the rest of us try and move forward. Our only comfort is the thought that you are at peace with Mom in heaven and that we may see you both again in the future. You always wanted the best for us and your motivation pushed us to be better and become all that we are. We will miss the reality of you just being there to call and coach us. Even now we are sorting events and favorite moments and have realized that our lives will now be measured in before and after. Those that knew you were very lucky; your personality, love and drive has enriched their lives, and that those who didn't have missed out.

Debra's zest for life was evident in all that she did. Coming from a military family meant her early years were spent traveling much of the country. Residency included: Hayward, Lemoore and Alameda CA, Newfoundland Canada and Norfolk Virginia before calling Cincinnati, Ohio her home for many years where she made lifelong friends as a Playboy Bunny (Bunny Ann). She later returned to California to complete her degree and be closer to family.

Debra graduated from California State University, then pursued her career as a paralegal with the Law firm of Whiting, Fallon, Ross & Abel for 32 years.
She was proud of her family's heritage and was a member of the Sons of Italy. She faithfully cared for family and friends, never missing the opportunity to send hand written cards and delicious cooking/baking from scratch including the best ever Grandma's Christmas biscotti.

Debra loved to dance, write, read, pray, bowl, hike, play games and cards, visit fairs and participate in outdoor activities especially with her children. She was always conversing with family and friends, and people she met while pursuing her passion for travel. Her home was always one of the most festive and decorated holiday houses on the block for all to enjoy.

Goodbye Debbie, we will carry you with us every day in our hearts and prayers, as we have been blessed to be part of your life.
Love always
Kenny & Ronnie

With a broken heart, I grieve the loss of my best friend in the whole world. Adventures, yes we had many. Memories, thank goodness there were years of them. She was one of a kind, and I definitely learned so much about life from her. It is a huge loss to lose this very special person in my life. There is not enough room in this space to write about what a wonderful person, presence, and family member she was...she was the rock! Through her, I have two very special life long friends to continue the bond that we all share with Debra.

Debra, you will live in my heart forever. I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU SO MUCH.

Blessings to her husband, Robert who stood by her every inch of the journey. And my love to Ron and Kenny, Giovanni and Nicholas.
