John Frederick Luczak
"John Boy"
Resident of Santa Cruz
John Luczak unexpectedly passed away on July 8th 2012 at the age of 48 in Santa Cruz Ca. John weighed a mere two pounds when he was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on June 8th 1964. His parents, Christine and William Luczak brought John, his two sisters, and his older brother to Sunnyvale CA, where they resided for a short time, before moving to Ben Lomond, where he grew up and attended local schools.
John was a very talented craftsman who excelled at carpentry, the refurbishing of older homes, and furniture. His hobbies included, perusing local yard sales and the Bargain Barn for that next special find, project, and vintage collectibles.
John is survived by his son Nick F Luczak, age 21, and his daughter Brianna M Luczak, age 17, both of Santa Cruz Ca. His brother Mike Luczak of Ben Lomond CA, sisters Leah Luczak of Scotts Valley CA, and Sondra Steckler of Seaside Ca. He is also survived by his nephews Chris and Johnathan Luczak of Santa Cruz CA, Darryl Pilgreen of Scotts Valley CA, and Timothy Neal of Portland Or, as well as many extended family members and countless friends. John was preceded in death by both of his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at 313 Jessie Street on July 21 2012, beginning at 12:00 PM with a potluck lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the benefit of John's children, checks should be made payable to: Nick Luczak Brianna Luczak Fund, Bank of the West, 1551 Pacific Avenue, Santa Cruz CA, 95060
