Karen Norine Kersey
Resident of Manteca
Karen Norine Kersey, 71, passed away March 3, 2014, from a long battle with leukemia. She was born in Ray, AZ, in 1942 to Hurshel and Minnie Griffith of Santa Cruz, CA. She was married to Richard Kersey for 55 years. At least a decade was spent in Sacramento, CA, where Richard was raised. Karen graduated from San Jose State University with a BS in accounting. Employment included accounting positions, but her real love and joy was doing income taxes as an enrolled agent and being a QuickBooks advisor. She had a business in Morgan Hill, CA, and worked out of her home in Arnold, CA, as well as her home in Manteca, CA.
Karen is survived by her husband, Richard, sons David and Roger, daughters Lynette Kersey and Sonya McAllaster, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 10 at the LDS church at 1233 Northgate Drive, in Manteca, CA, 95336. Viewing to be between 9-10 a.m. at the church.
