I have such wonderful memories of all the times that Maureen was there for L'Oustalou [all those beautifully printed menues!], for family and friends, and most of all, for me. She had such an open and kind heart, along with a wicked sense of humor! Maureen introduced me to Quince Jam, and I intend to plant a quince tree in her honor.
I will miss you dear Friend.

Oh! My love and sympathy to all the family. I love Maureen, met her in 1975 during our McHenry Library tour-of-duty. Honest, loving, *funny*, and boy could she speak her mind! I admired her *so* much. I will never forget her chuckle, her brilliant, cutting, no-holds-barred insights. I haven't seen her in years, since we chatted in a parking lot downtown after Jeanne's passing. Three days ago I found myself unexpectedly thinking of her, seeing her face. Felt I must look her up, but it is too late: today I read this sad news.
Can someone in the family let me know if/when a memorial is planned?

My deepest sympathy to family and friends. I had the honor and pleasure to work with Maureen for many years. She did indeed give her time, expertise and talent generously to all endeavors, and life wisdom when needed for the topic, and made us laugh as well. She won't be forgotten and will be sorely missed.
