Born Sept. 2, 1926 in Dodge Center MN, recently passed away in Sacramento. Proceeded in death by adored husband, The Honorable Judge William G. Brigance.
A long time resident of Santa Cruz, she worked for the Sentinel and was a retired Santa Cruz Municipal Court Clerk.
Her love of music included being an organist and vocalist at Live Oak Methodist Church and North Sacramento Methodist Church. She was a prominent member of the Santa Cruz Civic Light Opera and the Sweet Adelines.
Mildred was past Noble Grand of the Oak Park Rebekah Lodge #381 and Sacramento #2 Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Her love of sewing and generosity was directed towards various children's foundations including the Ronald McDonald recovery homes.
Loving mother of Lee Nation wife Sherry, sister of Leonard McCrill of Grass Valley. She was affectionately known as "Great Millie" to numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, neices, nephews and friends.
A private burial was held at Camellia Memorial Lawn in Sacramento.
