Patrick Chase Obituary

Patrick Chase
Feb. 1, 1921 - April 8, 2017
Aptos, CA
Pat Chase left this world April 8th late in the evening, under a beautiful full moon. With an ardent interest in engineering coupled with a love of aviation, he graduated from Cal Tech in 1947 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS and AE in Aeronautical Engineering.
An entrepreneurial drive took him from university to garage startup and a career in space and rocket instrumentation.
He met our mother at the Cal Tech wind tunnel during the war effort and the rest, as we kids like to say, is history. He and mom celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary last December.
His passing signifies the influence of a man, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather committed to love of family, compassion for others and an indelible sense of right and wrong.
In today's climate of fast moving interpretations of facts, personal responsibility and truth, Pat Chase showed us how a person of integrity, love and honor truly lives.
