Resident of Penn Valley
Our beloved Rebekah passed away Sunday, unexpectedly and of unknown causes, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital at the age of thirty-eight.
Born in Watsonville, CA, she attended Soquel Elementary, Capitola Junior High, and graduated from Soquel High School.
Rebekah is survived by husband Michael Roth, son Benjamin, age 9, daughter Abigail, age 6, and parents Kathleen Thompson and Thorgrun Odden, all of Penn Valley, brother Joshua Thompson and wife Kim of Watsonville, and grandfather L.G. Thompson of Aptos, CA. She will also be missed by mother-in-law Carol Cordoba of Tallahassee, FL, and father-in-law Steven Roth and wife Jan of Nevada City, as well as by extended family and countless friends.
We wish to have our "Bekah" remembered for her courage during those years she struggled with childhood rheumatoid arthritis, for her love of riding horses, for her angelic voice, and for her inspiring commitment to community service, most recently as past president of Ready Springs PTC. Joy-filled and fun-loving, she will be remembered by all who knew her as a supportive and delightful daughter, sister, wife, and friend - but most of all, as a WONDERFUL MOTHER!
Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Friday, October 14th, at the home of Steven and Jan Roth, 12282 N. Bloomfield Road, Nevada City. A Buffet will be served from 2-7 PM; the Memorial Service will take place at 4 PM.
Rebekah would approve of Remembrances being sent to Ready Springs School, Grass Valley, CA.

Bekah was a shining light, always positive and up, a wonderful mother who cherished her family. I was blessed to have her on my staff for several years. She was an amazing

I was so shocked when Jim told me about Bekah. It breaks my heart to know that such a sweet person has been taken from us. My heart goes out to her children, parents, family and friends. Over the years the pain will lessen but our hearts will still have tears on the inside. I will pray for all the family and friends, especially Ben and Abbie. Love to all.

Bekah will be greatly missed, and the news of her passing has has generated much sorrow. We think about Bekah every day, and we will miss hearing her cheery voice. Knowing she is no longer is pain is a comfort to us. Our prayers are with you Bekah! - Joe And Lynda Hecht

I am so very sad to hear of Bekah's death. I had not seen her since she was a young girl, but I remember her lively and sweet spirit. My condolences to her family, and much love to her wonderful parents, Tim and Katie, my old friends of long ago.

Bekah and I were childhood friends and just recently came back together over phone and facebook. She was the most amazing person I have ever known, she struggled through her pain all of her life but I have never seen her without the beautiful smile that lights up a room. She was an angel walking the earth, now is an angel in heaven. She touched so many people in her life and probably didn't even know it. She will be forever missed.

My heart aches with the loss of Bekah. My sympathies and prayers go out to her family.
I will always remember the times when Bekah could walk into a room and bring smiles and joy to all. I loved hearing her sing. She always had a smile on her face.
She will be remembered with love.
