My condolences to Richard's family and friends. Although it may be of little consolation to anyone, I have set my sights on getting sidewalks along Davenport Road. His death will not be in vain.

I only worked with Richard for a short time at Hewitt Coleman, but he had a terrific sense of humor and made my time there a fun one. God bless him and his loved ones and know that others care...

I just learned of Richard's death this afternoon. My Aunt Margaret in Wilmington NC told me in a phone conversation. Richard was a cousin on my Dad's side of the family. Al and I send our love and blessings to his brothers and sisters and their families.

I worked for Richard many years ago and had great respect for him and his knowledge which he was not afraid to share with anyone who was in need. He was so kind that way and everyone always liked him and his great sense of humor.
My heart goes out to his family and work family as you all try to adjust to a life without him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I would like to give my condolences to Richards family. Richard had been my adjuster for the past years and was a good person when it came to any situation dealing with health issues in which decisions had to be made. He was always fair and was truly concerned for ones wellbeing. He will me missed

Richard lived 4 houses from me when I was in middle and high school. I would cut his lawn on a "whenever it needs it" basis and talk to Richard for hours after I finished mowing. He had a unique perspective on life that, as a teenager, I couldn't fully understand but admired. He talked straightforward and treated me like an equal. He had much wisdom and advice to share, and I am fortunate enough to have known him. I will always remember Richard's Mustangs, him walking with the dog, and our conversations after hours of yard work. I still check whether the grass needs cut when I drive by his house. Richard, his family, and Bella will be in my thoughts and prayers as We reflect upon the positive impact Richard has had on our lives.
