Richard Lewis Obituary

Richard "Dick" Alden Lewis passed away in San Diego, CA on August 13, 2023. He was 89 ears old. Dick was born in Berkley, CA on June 23, 1934.Dick served in the United States Army Reserved Office Training Corp (ROTC) while attending college at Stanford before leaving service and beginning a career in construction. He earned a master's degree and worked as a civil engineer in the construction industry. He dedicated more than 55 years in the workforce, most recently as a consultant.Always trying to learn more, he had an interest in investing in the stock market and managing his personal finance. He enjoyed snow skiing, sailing, golfing and playing tennis. Dick continued to hold a Professional Engineering License in the state of California.After 40 years of marriage, Dick was preceded in death by his loving wife Bobbi in January. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Rick & Jesica Lewis of Belton, TX; granddaughters Lacie & Lexie and brother-in-law Jerry Stocker and his wife Vickie of Ramona, CA.A funeral service will be held at 1pm, Saturday August 26, 2023 at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary, 13243 Poway Road.
