Resident of Los Banos
Robert "Bobby" Gill died Thursday, February 9, 2017 in an unexpected tragic death. He was 54 years old. Bobby was a resident in the city of Los Banos, California for 20 years. He was born in Santa Cruz but was raised by his grandmother, Teresa Ponce in Sacramento.
Bobby worked for Granite Construction and Graniterock for a combined 28 years. He was very proud of his expertise and leadership skills that he acquired on the job. He was a hard working well known family man who often took part in his community with the Girls Softball PAL program and Coached Little League Baseball that both his children, Robert S Gill and Alyssa A. Gill participated in. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his kids watching the San Francisco Giants game and the Golden State Warriors Basketball games. He also enjoyed barbequing, swimming and listening to his favorite Oldies music.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Gill; son, Robert S. Gill; daughter, Alyssa A. Gill; stepson, Lawrence M. Saavedra; stepdaughter, Anisa M. Saavedra; eight grandchildren; stepmother, Cruz Gill; sisters, Theresa (Gilbert) Gill-Tovar, Sylvia Gill Mireles, Jennifer Gill, Grace (Jacob) Ramirez, Gloria (Scott) Wilson; brothers, John (Tina) Gill, Richard Gill and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his father, Frank P. Gill, his mother, Isabel Gill, and sister, Annette Gill.
A Memorial Service followed by a Celebration will be held on Saturday, March 4th starting at 11:00am at the Twin Lakes Church, 2701 Cabrillo College Drive, Aptos CA. 95003. Mehl's Colonial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
