Resident of Livermore
Stephania Jean Francone passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her parents, Nicola and Jeannie Francone. She is survived by her son, Stephen Angeli.
Stephania was a graduate of UC Hastings College of Law and was a practicing attorney for over 30 years. She also served as a judge in Santa Cruz County.
Stephania loved hiking, swimming, and traveling to places such as Italy, Spain, Turkey, Egypt and many places in the Middle East. She loved cats and is providing a grant to In Defense of Animals, KQED, and WomenCARE.
Family and friends are invited to the Visitation beginning at 11:30AM and to the Funeral Service at 12:00PM, both on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Holy Angels Funeral & Cremation Center, 1051 Harder Road, Hayward. Committal will immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward.

RIP Stephania. We have never met in person, but we have talked several times in the past few years on phone and via emails. You told me of your dire health problems, and I prayed for you, as you know. You had wanted to visit me here in Greece and had also invited me to visit you in CA. We had even discussed the possibility of renting our homes to each other (your apt. in Phoenix, and mine near Athens.) So many plans to actually meet, and then I heard nothing from you in the past couple of months. I suspected you took a turn for the worse, and now I found out that you have passed on to a better
place. We can only pray that we WILL meet sometime in that better place. May your memory be eternal. Condolences to your son.

My sincere condolences to Stephanie's son and family. I have known her since my Dad built her family's home in Castro Valley. We went to High School together at Canyon as well. RIP .

I found out about Stephania's passing yesterday. We were friends from High School to her passing. She was always there for friends. I will miss talking and being with her.
