Steve was the 9th baby of the Steckler family, he had a wide range of character, seriously funny.
Steve was nicknamed the cable guy, because he really was the cable guy.
Steve came to SC on vacation in 1985 and liked it so much, he applied for a job at the cable company. He was hired soon after. He would then make the move from Orange County, Southern California, where he was from, originally.
Steve met his wife Sondra at the cable company, she also was employed as an installer, all Steve wanted to do was, all Sondra's work, so he could hang out with her, he was in love.
Steve hobbies were building cruzer bikes and tune ups for friends. He loved to ride for fun on the cliffs of SC, he enjoyed walking Zeek the family standard poodle on the beach daily.
Steve and Sondra, recently moved back to SC from Seaside, to be closer to family and better weather. Steve had become a new grandpa, and loved the times his son Logan and Violet, visit with Sally, Lilly and new little Andy. As Steve would say, "this is the best party ever".
Steve has many family members that will miss him greatly. He is survived by his wife Sondra of 25 years, his son Logan and his family, Violet, Sally, Lilly, Andy. Oldest brothers, Craig Steckler of Fremont, including his family,
Mike Steckler his wife Carrie and family of Santa Rosa, Kevin Steckler and family of Sonoma, Jeff Steckler and family, Eden, Shane, and his 2 sisters Mary Steckler her family of San Clemente, also Becky Winter/Steckler of Santa Rosa. Including many many extended family.
We the Steckler family will get through, but will never forget, the baby Stevie.
