Vincent James Collier, "V.C.," left this earth after surfing in Mexico on March 3, 2018. Vince was a Santa Cruz local through and through. Those who knew Vince will remember him as a boisterous, outspoken, intense, extremely loving, loyal person. He was always ready to help a friend or a person down on their luck. He was also a mischievous soul who loved a prank and was never hesitant to come up with a new way to shock people and generate laughs.
Vince spent the last weeks of his life doing what he loved; surfing, driving, camping, and fishing with the the love of his life, Denise, and his best friend, Roxy dog. There was never a dull moment with him, and his huge personality can never be replaced.
Please join us on Saturday, April 7th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. for a memorial and paddleout at Steamer Lane.

The years go by without our dear friend Vince. Had a lot of good memories with him and I´ll never forget him. He left a big impact on my life. He was such a good man, a dear friend , look forward to seeing him and the Collier family on the other side one of these days. he made my life a happier place with him in it and watching him grow up.

It seems just like yesterday ..we were in the 5th grade..went on to become great friends, loved his entire family, have such good memories being in the shaping room, I see that young face when I think of him, he could out surf anyone. Never forgotten . Rest in Peace my friend

Missing Vince, he was a great surfer, friend and a strong character .. hard to believe he is not cruising the cliffs. Know he is at peace and still riding waves. Memories last forever like good friends . Till we see each other again .

Vince will never be forgotten. He was probably the best surfer ever to come out of Santa Cruz. We spent many hours in the shaping room together designing and shaping boards.Loved him like a son, a brother and a great friend. We will be together again riding on the other side one day.
