CATHY MCCONNELL Obituary
1951-2024
Cathy Marie McConnell was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, into a loving family of five.
She attended Manzano High School and did her undergraduate work at Eastern New Mexico University where she became a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority making lifelong friends. She received a BS in interior design from Northern Arizona University and this became her lifelong passion.
After several years representing other manufacturers, Cathy started her own company - New Mexico Farmwear - designing homemade apparel, jewelry and furniture.
A consummate artist, she also painted and completed several series of works and excelled in the culinary arts. Cathy loved music, family, coffee with honey and celebrating life's moments at the drop of a hat.
She will be remembered by those who knew and loved her as God-loving, loyal, funny, strong, intelligent and compassionate. Her's is a story of a life well-lived and she will be missed.
Cathy's ashes will be released today near her beloved Ghost Ranch.
