DAVID GRIEGO Obituary
On November 26th Our Beloved David (Davy) was called home to his Lord and Savior surrounded by his Angels. Davy was born Feb. 13, 1970. He grew up in Santa Fe, attended Cristo Rey, St. Mikes & graduated from SFHS. Davy followed in his dad's footsteps in becoming a master jeweler. He moved to Bloomington, Ind. where he worked in various high-end jewelry stores. He returned home after 10 years & worked with his dad at Santa Fe Goldworks. He crafted beautiful jewelry which he generously gifted to his loved ones.
Davy had a good sense of humor & a crazy laugh which quickly lifted the spirits of everyone around him. He loved any kind of music going to concerts & always had his headphones on. Davy always said "Music is what keeps me alive". He loved taking early morning walks to see a beautiful sunrise & taking photographs of the city he loved. He enjoyed fishing with his son Andrew & watching his grandkids participate in various sports & attending their birthday parties. He never hesitated to share & open his beautiful heart & spirit with his family, friends & even strangers, never putting himself first.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Manuel & Kate Miera, paternal grandparents, Juanito & Josie Griego, Uncles Edward Griego, Patrick Miera, Cousins Robbie & Diego Miera & special friend Denise. He is survived by his Mom, Rita Sena (David), Dad, David Griego (Eunice), His son Andrew Tafoya (Candace), Miquela Tafoya, Grandchildren, Isaias, Jeremiah, Myla & Laileah, Brothers, Nicholas & Feliciano Griego, Matthew Sena, Nephew, Sevin Griego and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be December 13th at Cristo Rey Church. Rosary 10:00 am, Mass 11:00 am, Burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery. Pallbearers, Andrew Tafoya, Matthew Sena, Nicholas & Feliciano Griego, Rey & Damian Miera. Honorary Pallbearers, Sarah Applegate and Mark Kidd.
Rest in Peace our Beautiful Davy, you will be missed forever and always in our hearts.
