MARK A. ARELLANO Mark A. Arellano, age 56, of Santa Fe, N.M. passed away June 28, 2016. He was born June 12, 1960 to Josie and Fermin Arellano. Mark is preceded in death by his father Fermin Arellano, brother Louis Arellano, mother-in-law Celine Sanchez and nephews Nicholas Sanchez and Adrian Garcia Jr. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jeanette Arellano, son Mark and grandson Dominic Arellano, daughters Angelique (Derek) Lucero, Bryanna Marie Arellano, mother Josie Arellano, brothers & sisters Paul (Joyce) Arellano, Priscilla (Rick) Killkenny, Frank Arellano, Daniel Arellano, Theresa (Tommy) Garcia, Elaine (Marcus) Boston, Joe Arellano (Eilani Gerstner), Ernest Arellano, JoAnn Arellano, Camille (Adrian) Garcia Sr., father-in-law Filemon Sanchez, brother and sister-in-law's Robert (JoAnna) Sanchez, Barbara (Gerald) Rivera, Diane (Robert) James, Michael (Stephanie) Sanchez and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Mark loved to spend time outdoors with those closest to him. Mark kept a positive outlook with his beloved family, caregivers and great support team behind him. Mark was the leader of the NM Pulmonary Hypertension Support Groups (High Desert Breathers), as well as a mentor to many in the Pulmonary Hypertension community. He made a big difference in so many people's lives by giving his friendship and support to others, even on days that he didn't feel good. He taught us not to give up and continue to fight. "I get up every day, thank God and move on. Although I'm not near what I used to be, I am thankful for each day God gives me, good days and bad." Mark A. We would like to give special thanks to those who supported him through his 21 year battle with PH, including the University of Colorado (Dr. Badesch and Robin Hoshfield), Dr. Gollub of Santa Fe, UNMH team, and the love and support of friends, family and his wife Jeanette, kids, Mark, Angelique, Bryanna, Dominic and Derek. Mark always said "if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have been able to make it this far." Family meant everything to him! We will continue to pray for a cure for this disease and will carry on his support to others. Pallbearers are his son, 5 brothers, and godsons Julian and Adrian Kilkenny. My Condolences to your family. I had the pleasure to work with Mark at Cultural Affairs where he was a guard for the Museums. Mark was up beat and positive. I know he struggled with health issues but he always had a smile when I would see him.
