PULITA BENAVIDEZ Obituary
Pulita A. Benavidez, born November 15, 1932, in El Rancho, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. Pulita went to be with her Lord and Savior on that day.
She is survived by her children: Stefanie Landes, Amy (Chris) Christiansen, Oliver Benavidez, and Abel John Benavidez.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Abel "Buddy" Benavidez, Abraham Benavidez, and Brian Christiansen.
In addition, she is survived by her only remaining sibling, DeLores Gonzales, numerous other friends and relatives, her adopted daughter Juanita Lovato, granddaughters Nikki Rogers and Angela Rogers-Hesch, and her very good friends Evila and Lola Romero.
Pulita was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Rev. Facundo Benavidez; her son, Facundo Benavidez Jr.; and her son-in-law, Grant Landes.
She was a woman of God, and along with her husband, pastored two churches while also caring for her handicapped son for 63 years.
Visitation will begin at 10:00AM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00AM on October 28, 2025, at Rivera Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Oliver Benavidez, Abel Benavidez, Chris Christiansen, Abel "Buddy" Benavidez, Abraham Benavidez, and Ben Martinez.

Benavidez Family, may God's peace surround each and every one of you during this time. I am praying for comfort in your grief as you celebrate Sister Pulita's remarkable life. Our brief lives soon give way to eternal joy with Jesus. She is now at peace in God's loving arms. I thank God that, since childhood, she was a constant and unwavering part of my life. She prayed for me, believed with me, knew me well, made space for me and always reminded me of God's importance. Sister B, you will always be in my heart and memories. You were and are an angel to all of us. Much, much love.
