August 4, 1938 - September 24, 2025
Santa Maria - It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved wife Charlotte June Lucas who departed this life on Sept 24, 2025. Charlotte June Lucas was born was born on August 4, 1938, in West Virginia, and as she preferred to be called, "June". Throughout her life, touched the hearts of many with warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family and friends.
June is survived by Her husband of 42 years, Coleman "Cole" Lucas, her brother, Dr. Kim Richmond and his wife Myra, her sister Karen Wheeler and Karen's daughter Margie Wheeler, granddaughter and great granddaughter Sara Gorlick and Amaris Gorlick, granddaughter Chanel Finch will be fondly remembered for her loving heart.
Her gentle spirit and compassionate nature were evident to everyone who knew her, and she approached life with grace and a selfless dedication to those around her. June's love for her family was boundless, and she found joy in simple moments, always offering support and encouragement.
June's passion was real estate; she obtained her license in 1983 and spent the next 30 years helping people get the home of their dreams.
There will be no formal funeral, as June had elected to be cremated. Instead, there will be a memorial on Oct 18, 2025, starting at 11:30 am at the Santa Maria Church of Christ located at Lincoln and Tunnell Streets in Santa Maria, Ca. All her friends are invited to say goodbye to a special Lady.
June will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our hearts and memories. May she rest in peace.
