John Brass Obituary

John Brass

July 31, 1943 - November 5, 2023

La Verne - John Brass the man, not the myth but the legend, passed away on Sunday, November 5th,2023 at the age of 80. John was born in Santa Maria, California to John and Rosella Brass, the oldest of three to his brother Jim and sister Mary Ann.

John loved life but had an even greater love for his family. His greatest passion was traveling with his wife Mary and their grandchildren. He had a successful career in the food industry for 60 plus years and loved every minute of it. John was compassionate, generous and deeply cared for the people in his life.

If you were blessed and knew John, you know his presence & wisdom are missed every day! He is loved by his Wife, Three Children, Four Grandchildren, Three Nieces, and a Nephew.

God Bless you John!

We are so sorry to hear about John. John was in our wedding & Mary (first Mary) was my matron of honor. Their daughter was our flower girl. He was a very loving, kind, fun person. We have known him since high school. His parents were my uncle and aunts neighbor. Mr. & Mrs. Brass (senior) children played with my cousins. We attended the same high school. We were good friends. You and your family have our deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Robert & Linda Willett
