Querino "Quino" Vargas
Querino "Quino" Vargas was called up to the Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 due to complications from a stroke. Quino was born on March 18, 1945 to Tomas Vargas and Francisca Gallegos Vargas in Stockton, CA. Uncle Quino and his sister Maria Anita "nana" Cervantes moved to Santa Maria, CA from Modesto, CA in 2003.
Uncle Quino loved his family very much, from his brothers and sisters to his great-great neices and nephews. He loved to make friends and was always able to make you laugh with one of his many jokes.
Uncle Quino is survived by his sisters Mary C. Taboa of Modesto, CA, Christina Hernandez of Sacramento, CA, brothers Tom Vargas of Pine Grove, CA and Arthur Vargas of Stockton, CA, niece Frances Vea of Arakansas, nephew Larry Vea Sr.(wife Dianna), great niece Andrea Vea, great nephew, Larry Vea Jr. (wife Xochitl), great-great nephews Larry Vea III and Jacob Vea all of Santa Maria, CA. As well as numerous neices and nephews.
Uncle Quino was preceded in death by his parents Tomas Vargas and Francisca Gallegos Vargas, sisters Maria Anita Cervantes, Mary K. Nartates, brother Frank Vargas and brother in law Trinidad O. Vea
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary.
At his request cremation was held with private inurnment to be at a later date in the Santa Maria Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, Crematory and Memory Gardens.
