Beverly Murtlow

Greenfield Center, NY- Beverly Hawkins Murtlow, 88, of Greenfield Center passed away peacefully on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Slate Valley Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Granville, NY. Born in Saratoga Springs, NY on May 19, 1933, she was the daughter of the late, Lester and May (Smith) Hawkins. Beverly enjoyed gardening, canning, puzzle books, soap operas, card making, and cooking. She was known for her Christmas fudge and her homemade salad dressing. She loved to bake and made pies for local orchards to sell. She enjoyed her dogs over the years and caring for them when breeding them. She loved horseback riding and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children; Mark Tyler, Bill Lloyd, Neal Tyler, Amy Pechette, and Bruce Tyler; her sister, Joyce Porter; lifelong best friend, Vivian Richards; grandchildren, Jeannie, Billy, Steven, Erik, Ginger, Julian, Brandy, Brandon, Kaitlyn, and Christian; twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband James Murtlow, daughter Laurie Lloyd, grandson Jason Tucker, sister Ella May Ericson and brother Lester Hawkins. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4-6 pm on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
