John Nowkin Obituary

John S. Nowkin Jr. GREENWICH- John S. Nowkin Jr., 64, a resident of Rt. 40, in Greenwich, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born in Monticello, NY October 18, 1947, he was the son of the late John S. and Martha (Dziubela) Nowkin Sr. John was a Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam and worked as a peace officer for NYRA in Saratoga Springs. He was a life member of the Marine Corps League Memorial Detachment #2 of Glens Falls. Surviving is his wife, Patricia (Catterson) Nowkin of Greenwich. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1PM at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich, NY with Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. Interment with military honors will be on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 1PM at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Online remembrances can be made at www.flynnbrosinc.com

Pat, So sorry we couldn't be there for the funeral as Gabby and I were in Mass due to the passing of Gabbys aunt. John was truly one of a kind and Charlie Company would not have been the same without him. I too will miss seeing him at the track and sharing some stories. God Bless and take care.
