During the early 50's Mary Elizabeth Parker worked in our home @ 288 Caroline Street for more than 3 years. I had three brothers and Mrs. Parker made our breakfast, packed our lunches and got us off to school on time.

She was a great influence on our family and I was always amazed when I later had Johnnie (Ace) and Willie as friends in high school. Mrs. Parker's family were all great students, athletes and well disciplined.

My late sympathies to all the Parker family as I just found out about Willie's passing last night.

Since I am not a fan of social media, I usually come to any event late;

Regards Mollie & David Ingmire, SHS Class of 66

Real sorry to hear about willies passing.Being from Mechanicville playing football and basketball against Saratoga was like a war but our respect for each other grew and we looked forward to playing two basketball and one football game yearly. He was the best running back I played against. We became friends for those years and when I moved to Saratoga after college ran in to him a few times and we talked about the old days.

My deepest sympathy to the Parker family. It has been over 50 years since I last saw Willie but I remember his friendship, kindness, athletic skills among so many wonderful attributes that he embodied. I can only imagine all the lives he touched after his high school years but I thank him for touching mine in high school so many years ago. Rest in peace my friend.

The World is a lesser place with the loss of Willie . I've known Willie since those School years . Granted he was a few years older but I had dealings with him it was always positive . Years later I was in the National Guard with him and he was my OIC and helped me get into OCS to get my Commission . It saddens me to hear that we lost a Great Man like Willie . God must've had a plan for Him . God Bless you Willie , May you Rest in Peace . I hope the State Police and The National Guard both have a Honor Guard for him and give him a proper send off .God Bless the Family . My Sympathies to the Family

To the Entire parker Family: I grew up in the old west side neighborhood just a block away on Elm Street and was in the same graduating class of George and Martha. Unfortunately as so many years have passed, I have lost touch with the family, but I so do remember all of you. I always knew that Willie would lead a very special life and leave his mark on all who were privileged to call him friend. As someone already mentioned, calling Willie a class act is all together very appropriate. A fine young man who added so much to his journey on this earth; now he can join all those who have predeceased him. It is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, but his mission here now being completed can rejoice in the glory that his God and Heaven will provide. May you rest in eternal peace; may your entire family rejoice soon in the fact that you have had such a tremendous impact on so many, and may their tears be replaced with the joy of all happier times you have shared over these many years.

I called him Junie....
My brother Willie and I grew up on the west side in a neighborhood filled with great kids who spent as much time as possible outdoors.
Junie and I shared a second floor bedroom and right on cue every summer morning at 7:00 A.M., Chuckie would climb to the roof and then slip into our bedroom to wake us to get the day started.
Though Chuckie always was more favorable to Willie, as he called him, we usually started our day sitting on the curb outside Carlie's Neighborhood store after purchasing a Table Talk Pie and a soda pop.
By eight, the rest of the kids in the neighborhood came for theirs as well. Mickey, Paulie, Jingles, Leon, Joey and more.
We would head then to the west side playground headed by our neighborhood friend and grounds keeper "Hot" Dominick.
It was time for pickup baseball or home run derby. Brian, Bobby, Teddy, Bruce and Bruce and Ricky were always there.
They all called him Willie and were all more favorable to "Willie" than me, except for my good friend Paulie.
Why, why, why I asked myself then, and now I know. Junie was a superior human being. A very good person , incredibly smart and a leader that I admired very much. We all admired even as kids.
When my son Jon-Jon was born, Junie sent me a bible from Korea where he was stationed. It now remains as my family bible.
I will love and miss you forever, Junie. Until we meet again.

Little Brother, Johnnie
