WALNUT – Ann E. Schoff, 89, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at her home with her family at her side.
Ann was born November 6, 1931 in Sublette, IL to Eugene and Grace Fisher Waterhouse.On October 1, 1950, Ann married the love of her life, Leslie Schoff, and they were married for more than 62 years. They are the parents of seven children - Bob (Sandi) Schoff of Walnut; Bettie (Sanders) Hook of Huntley, IL; John (Jane) Schoff of South Barrington, IL; Joellen Lourdeau of Aurora, IL:, Billie (Ana) Schoff off Walnut; Ron (Mandy) Schoff of Walnut; and Carol (Greg) Swanson of West Chicago, IL. Ann is survived by her brothers, Billy Waterhouse of Princeton and Ned (Yutho) Waterhouse of Chattanooga, TN; and her sister, Letty (JR) Opsal. Ann is the grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 14.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two grandchildren, Adam Lourdeau and Katie Stoller-Schoff, four brothers and two sisters-in-law.
Ann graduated from Walnut High School in 1949. When she and Leslie married in 1950, her life centered around her home and family and she loved being a farm wife and mother. In addition to raising seven children, she also was a talented artist, an avid reader and loved baking.
During her lifetime, she was active in the First Christian Church of Walnut, Princeton Bible Church and the Walnut Community Bible Church, volunteering in multiple roles.
Masks and social distancing requirements will be in effect for a public visitation to be held at the Walnut Community Bible Church on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Pastor Eldon Cook and Ann's grandson, Pastor Matthew Lourdeau will conduct the services at 12 noon. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery. Arrangements by Garland Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Walnut Community Bible Church. Cards for the family may be sent to Bob Schoff, 107 5th Street, Walnut, IL 61376.
