Deborah J. Walters, 68 of Woodland Shores, Dixon died Tuesday September 30, 2025 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.
She was born on August 8, 1957 in Chicago, the daughter of John H. and Barbara (Parson) Helt. She married Gilbert D. Walter Sr on May 15, 1976. Deborah had worked at Wahl Clipper in Sterling for several years. She enjoyed needle point, sewing and was a great cook.
Survivors include her husband, Gilbert; daughter Nancy (Matt) Sobotka of Milledgeville; sons: Gilbert Walters (Michele Phillips) and James Walters both of Sterling; three sisters: Connie (Terry) Freeman of Sterling, Katherine Brock of Dixon and Dorina Diesing of Rock Island; three brothers: Tom (Sharon) Helt of Key West, FL, Edwin (Louise) Helt of Dixon and John Helt Jr of Mammoth, IA; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.
There will be no public services and cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory, Rock Falls.
