Gary Alan Snapp, 61, of Prophetstown, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family. He worked as a Truck Driver for 32 years.
Gary was born on January 24, 1963, in Kankakee, IL, the son of Billie and Mary (Baringer) Snapp. He proudly served in the United States Army. Gary loved his garden and was proud of his home; showing off the woodwork he did himself all throughout the inside. He was a proud grandfather and loved both his kids and grandkids more than anything else in this world.
Gary is survived by his siblings, Bonnie (Brad) Hittie, Andy (Carol) Snapp; five children, Sabrina Reginer, Heidi (Jay) Ford, Polly (Ryan) Ehrenkaufer, Sarah (Jimmy Greenlee) Snapp, Gary Alan Snapp II; and 15 grandchildren, Trisden, Lucas, Dylan, Luckie, Alissa, Ethan, Khylee, Hayden, Harmony, Luke, Jasper, Remi, Brinleigh, Arlyn, Reid.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
A Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, with Pastor Jason Borton, from Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, officiating. Cremation Rites will be accorded. There will be a Private Family Burial at a later date.
A memorial has been established.
Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
