Justin Richard Halverson, 41, of Traverse City, died Wednesday, January 18, 2023. He was born April 4, 1981 in Dixon, IL., the son of Paul Halverson and Jackie (Tucker) Kessel.
Justin and family moved from Dixon to Traverse City in October of 1990. He graduated from TC Central in 1999. Afterwards, he graduated with a bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University in 2003.
He loved his family dearly. He had many great Aunts and Uncles. He loved his cousins and loved to be with his Grandma. He enjoyed going to the beach and also being with his dogs. Justin had so many close friends. He loved sports, playing basketball, and watching college football was his favorite, Go Blue!
Justin is survived by his parents, Paul (Jennifer) Halverson and Jackie (John) Kessel; his brother, Brandon Halverson; and his former wife, Maegan (Morin) Halverson.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald "Jeep" and Joyce Halverson, and his grandpa, Norman Tucker.
A Celebration of Justin's Life will be announced at a later date.
