Kendall Kenneth Jensen, 75, of Manlius, IL, passed away on May 17, 2023, at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, IA.
Kendall was born in Princeton on October 30, 1947, to parents, Robert Kenneth Jensen and Dorothy (Bird) Jensen. He married Judith Kitchen on June 21, 1968, in Canton, IL. She passed away on March 6, 2002.
He was a 1966 graduate of Manlius High School. He went on to get his Associates Degree from Spoon River College in Canton, IL. He then went to work as an Accountant for Cargill Feeds. He was also the Manager of the gas station at the Farm House Restaurant. He worked as the Groundskeeper for the Bettendorfs in the Sterling/Rock Falls area. From there, he worked for the National Manufacturing Company in the Sterling/Rockfalls area. He retired in 2001. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #722, in Walnut, where he obtained a Third Degree Master Mason for 44 years and was the Worshipful Master 9 times throughout the years. He was an active member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manlius.
Kendall is survived by his daughter Kendra Jensen of Walnut and his son Robert "B.J." (Kathy) Jensen of Manlius. He is also survived by his siblings, sisters, Sandra (Bernard) Romanoski, Olatha, KS, Robin (Keith) Stithem of Dixon, IL and brother, Kerry (Cindy) Jensen of Hoffman Estates. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren, Elena, Ash and Michelle, a niece and numerous nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 22, from 5-7pm at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manlius. There will be a funeral on Tuesday, May 23rd, at 10am at the church, which will include Masonic Rites. Pastors Lori and Jeff Whalen will officiate the service. Burial will be at the Manlius Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manlius.
