Phyllis Lancaster Cheeseman, passed away on August 23, 2023. She was born May 30, 1931 in Morrison, IL to Clifford and Vivian (Gibson) Lancaster. She received her education in Whiteside County Schools.
Phyllis worked many years as an inspector for Multi Products. Later working for Raynor Garage Doors in Dixon where she served as lead for several years in the operator department, retiring after 25 years. She taught Sunday school for many years and belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed going to BINGO with her daughters, doing scratch off tickets, and spent many hours outside puttering around in her flowers and doing yard work.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Vazquez, Charlotte (Keith) Lench, and Rogean (Gale) Keime; five beautiful grandchildren, Lynette, Erika, Jacqueline, Gino, and Daniel; seven great grandchildren; and four great, great grandchildren; one brother, Charles (Joyce) Lancaster; several nieces and nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved children, Phillip Cheeseman and Lucille Hall; four brothers; and three sisters.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Milledgeville. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M.at the funeral home with Pastor Bunyan Cocar officiating. Burial will conclude at South Elkhorn Cemetery in Milledgeville.
