Dick was another great Onarga sports legend of the 50s. Just a great person with a big personality and interesting to know and talk to. Always enjoyed seeing him at the Memorial Day ceremonies in Onarga. Rest in piece. Steve Gibson

My deepest condolences to Judy and the family. Mr. Skates was a great man, with a genuine Godly heart, and always welcoming to those around him. At family´s gatherings that I attended I always look forward to checking in with Dick and his wife Judy- always enjoyed the great conversations & friendship, He will be missed.

Dick you are one of my best friends. When I was in grade and high school and high school and you were in high school in the summer months we played at the Onarga grade school grounds baskeball, football, strike out, and baseball. Now you are with our God the Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. in Heaven Schnook
