Died: March 5, 2023
Sandra Kay Wirth, 65, of Hooppole, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory will be assisting the family. Memorials may be dedicated in Sandra's memory to the OSF Adult Congenital Heart Center, C/O OSF Healthcare Foundation, 124 SW Adams Street, Peoria, IL, 61602.
Sandra was born February 24, 1958, the daughter of Gilbert and Lois (Larson) Pierson, in Princeton, IL. She attended Manlius High School and went on to graduate from Annawan High School, class of 1976. She then pursued and received two associate degrees from Sauk Valley Community College. She married Roger Wirth on June 27,1987. Together they farmed outside of Hooppole. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2000. Sandra enjoyed taking care of her yard, working on home projects and spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter Abigail (Andrew) Vroman of Geneseo; grandchildren, Logan and Connor Vroman; sisters, Kathryn (Joe Kinnaman) Pierson of Peosta, IA, and Patti (Kevin) Stier of Rock Falls, IL; niece, Amber (Phillip) Peugh of Rock Falls, IL; and stepdaughter, Angie Solie of Spring Grove, MN.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Lois Pierson; husband, Roger Wirth; and special friend, David Hartley.
