Died: February 1, 2024 in Dekalb, IL
Sarah Hinrichs age 92 of Dekalb formerly of Amboy passed away on Feb. 1, 2024 at the home of her daughter in Dekalb. She was born on Jan. 8, 1932 in Amboy, IL the daughter of William and Rachel (Mason) Hall. Sarah was a driver for the Amboy School District and a waitress at the Amboy Family Restaurant. She was a member of the Amboy Hospital Auxiliary. Sarah married Eugene Hinrichs on July 6, 1953 in Mendota, IL. He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 2000. She is also preceded in death by her brother Jack Hall, and daughter Susan McCracken. Sarah is survived by her children Kathy (Bernie) Kuebel of Peru, Debra (Tom) Dickinson of Amboy, Greg Hinrichs of Avon IN, Diane Rapp of Dekalb, Deanne (Bill) Opsahl of Durand, David (Stacy) Hinrichs of Waterloo IL, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Monday Feb. 5, 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Burial will follow at Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy. Visitation will be on Monday Feb. 5, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.

I am so sorry for the loss in our family. I will always remember the Thanksgiving trips to Amboy to see you and the family and how much fun we all had together. You are a great mother, a great grandmother, and will will be missed dearly by all who have come to know and love you.
