Patricia, Melissa, Shawn and Sean my heart goes out to all of you during this time of sorrow. I know all of you fought a hard battle to get him transferred to DUKE. Bryan knows in his heart just how hard you guys were working on getting him moved so he could get some form of rehab for his lungs. The time we spent together praying and encouraging each other as we awaited news from the nurses and doctors was a great bonding time for all of us, we became a hospital family. A hospital family that understood just what each other was going through. So at this time I want to let you guys know that my heart goes out to and your whole family as you cope with the loss of your husband and father. Losing a loved one is a hard thing to cope with but you guys are strong. He will never be gone, he will always be alive in you thoughts and memories.
Love from your hospital family members (Paula)

Sara and I are so sorry to hear about Bryan's passing. The Benninghoffs are our family and our hearts weep for the loss of a good man. We know he is with the lord and will look over his family and loved ones until they join him in heaven. God Bless you all.

Bryan will be missed immensely but he still drives the family through their memory of his "take charge" attitude of caregiving and love for all his family.
