LINDA AND FAMILY,
I HAS BEEN YEARS SINCE I HAVE BEEN AROUND CHARLES, BUT I KNOW THAT MY NIECES AND NEPHEW {PAM,ALAN,AND CANDY} LOVED AND RESPECTED HIM AND HE WAS GOOD TO THEM. WE WERE HONORED THAT THE FAMILY THOUGHT ENOUGH OF US TO ASK US TO COME AND PRAY FOR HIM. YOU'LL ARE STILL IN OUR PRAYERS. IF YOU NEED ANYTHING ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CALL. I AM SORRY THAT WE WERE OUT OF TOWN AND COULD NOT COME TO THE FUNERAL TO SHOW OUR RESPECT BUT, I HEARD IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL SERVICE. CHAD AND STACY I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES AND IT WILL MAKE IT BETTER. ALSO KNOW WHEN YOU FELL LIKE THE BURDENS ARE TO GREAT THERE IS ALWAYS GOD THAT WILL LIGHTEN THEM FOR YOU. WE ARE PRAYING FOR ALL OF YOU AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.

Mrs. Lind,
I would like to start of by saying; God blessed me and my family with two wonderful friends. Charles present will be missed, but his heart warming memories will last forever. I thank God for him, I can recall a time when I could not get off work to take BamBam to meet his dad in Brunswick. My cell phone rung and it was Charles on the other line, he said to me “I’m to your house getting ready to take Bam to Brunswick. I said Charles he can wait until I get off work, he said it’s too late I got the bike in my trunk and we are locking up the house” I can remember thinking Charles can hardly see and he have my son on 95 heading to Brunswick. But I knew that Charles would protect my child no matter what. Mrs. Linda you had an awesome husband. This world would be a better place if we had more people like you and Charles.

We love you dearly;
Mildred Jackson

Jim and I were so sorry to hear of Charles passing. It immediately brought back a flood of fun memories of the two of you. I was fortunate enough through my business relationship with Charles King's sister, Lillian, to establish a personal relationship with both her and her family. Upon meeting Charles, you could immediately see his wonderful sense of humor, zest for life and the love he felt for his family. These are the things that will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. May God forever hold Charles in His arms and grant strength, comfort and serenity to his family and friends at this time. With deepest sympathy...

Mrs. Linda & Chad,
Charles was not only a former coworker but a true friend. As a single mother back than, I couldn't always be in two places at once. Charles would step away from work to pick the kids up from daycare, practice or just checkup on them at home. We often ate lunch together as a group that we affectionately called the lunch bunch. Charles loved to eat! Charles was more than a friend he was like a father to me and a grandfather to my children. I can still her him saying, "come on gurl". Charles always gave of himself unselfishly and he often put other's before him. All I have are fond memories and pictures to hold dear. I'm not going to say good bye to Charles but instead I will see you later....

Aunt Linda wanted us to share our fondest memories, that is hard because some of us have too many to choose from. I remember lots and lots of laughter! I'd like to think He contributed to my sense of humor.
When I was a young girl He would call long distance to Texas and breath heavily into the phone at which I would hang up, He called right back and said "why did you hang up on me?" of course I did'nt know it was Uncle Charles and he would say "that was my obscene phone call!!" He thought that was so funny. And the card games... He taught all the nieces and nephews how to win, unfortunatly our parents called it cheating..ha/ha..the card game was UNO!
I remember His trips to Texas and the special way He made my Momma smile. There is something especially unique about Uncle Charles and His siblings that I have loved and admired for as long as I can remember and that is no matter how long and no matter how far apart whenever they were together it was like no time had passed at all..
Enjoy the memories, He gave us lots of stories.

I am a friend of Lillian King and her daughter Loretta. My sincere condolences on your loss of your Brother and Uncle. May the comfort of God help you during this difficult time. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness felt. But remember, a golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke your hearts to prove, He only takes the best! Life gives us memories too wonderful to forget. Be thankful for the time you shared together.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
