I'm so sorry to hear this news. I fell out of touch with David many years ago and am sorry I did. David lived we me in the old river house on Talahi Island in the early 90s. David, Jon Arline and myself were a team for a while with many good times. He was very thoughtful and witty for sure! I have a coffee table that David gave me that I would like to return if the family is interested. It was built by his stepdad Gilbert which he was very proud of. I can be reached at 912-308-5123. Again, my condolences. Danny North.

Farewell David, I will never forget the wonderful and happy years we had together as classmates at Charles Herty School in Savannah. You were always a good friend and classmate, and though time has a notion for many friends to drift apart over the years, I have never forgotten your kindness and all the good times had during our young years at Herty.

May God bring peace and comfort to all the family. Our prayers are with you.

Rest in Peace my old friend. Some of my oldest memories are with you. We lived around the corner from each other, walked to and from Charles Herty together, rode bikes together, joined the Boy Scouts together, went on camping trips together, rode to school together and you were a friend that the conversation was never interrupted by time. I'll see you on the other side and I'm sure we will not miss a beat in the dialog, with maybe a new joke or two. It's been a high point of my life to have known you. Jim

David, I was graced by God, to have you as my brother and my very best friend. Only you could make me laugh, even when I was losing you. Thank you forever in taking care of our Father, Mother and Papa. I could not have done it with out you and I could not had gotten over my grief of losing them with-out you. God knew how much I needed you and you have never let me down.

You came in his world one year, one month and one day a head of me. We shared a crib in the beginning of life and we shared tears, wonderful talks, our get togethers were always filled with laughter.....up to the very end of you life. Oh God, how you blessed me with him. My thankfulness to you always for him.

Now, you can get back to having coffee with Mama. She asked what color Roses you wanted when you talked with her, because she needed to know .....to make sure to have them when you arrived in heaven!

Love always,
Jackie

I will always remember the decades of love, laughter and happy moments my brother brought into my life. I have a life that was changed because of him and I will always hold those memories in a special place, that will always be his alone, in my heart. Our favorite poem written by Stevie Smith in 1905 was "A Breath of Fresh Air". I will deeply miss you David, I love you so... all of my love, forever and ever.
