Derek Jason Morgan DJ - SAVANNAH - Derek Jason Morgan, 24, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016. He was born February 4, 1992 in Savannah, GA. He attended Windsor Forest High School and worked for Jenkins Plumbing Company. Derek was a member of White Bluff Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his father and step-mother, John David and Amanda Morgan, his mother, Janet Ward Smoot, sister, Alexis Acree (Chris), brother, Eric Steven Morgan (Kelli), brother, Dylan Morgan, brother, Travis Contrascere, and brother, Nick Contrascere. Also surviving are his paternal grandmother, Jackie C. Morgan, paternal great-grandfather, John L. Morgan, special aunt and uncle, Barbara and Dan Read, nephew, Mason Tucker Morgan, niece, Faith Acree, and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016 at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey West. Remembrances may be made to the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, 7215 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
