I just learned of Dr. Ray's passing... several months after the fact while trying to track down medical records, of all things. He was a kind man and a wonderful doctor. I hope his family has been able to find some peace and comfort knowing the healing he provided for many people. I am truly saddened, but I know he is at peace. Blessings to his loved ones.

We have such fond memories of Derrell that go back so many years when we all began our life through psychiatry as young and enjoying the years on the way. June, you were always sweet, and supportive to me during our careers. Ross and I send you warm hugs with memories of all the years past. May strength for you be near.

I was heartbroken to hear that our Dr. Ray had passed away. I came into his office a mess after over 50 yrs of not being treated properly and about to give up on my life. Dr. Ray told me, " I've been doing this a long time I will find out what is going on and you will feel better." God bless him he did, with the help of his wonderful staff in Savannah. I'm able to live. My prayers go to his wife, his children, family and all those who worked with him. I will miss his kind, gentle manner, his smile and his fist bumps.

I was just informed by my son PCP about the sudden passing of Dr. Ray. My son had been under his care for the past three years. He will be sadly missed in Stockbridge, GA. #FISTBUMPDRRAY

So sad to hear of Dr. Ray's passing. He was the only doctor of many over the years who managed to get my son's meds adjusted to where they needed to be. Such a loss to the Savannah community. Prayers for comfort and peace go out to the family during this time of grief.

I worked for Derrell Ray from 1999 to 2005 as his office nurse. He was kind and caring and a wonderful mentor and boss. I am very sad to learn of his passing. He will be remembered in the lives he touched and the healing work he preformed.

To Dr Ray's Family, I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Ray's passing. I was absolutely shocked when I got the call. He was a good man, always smiling, he came across as a very caring man. He has been treating me for 4-5 years for depression and helped me maintain control over my life. He will be missed. Fist bump, Dr Ray.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Derrell Ray. I have known him all my life and have such wonderful memories of growing up around him. I remember his smile and how he and June always wanted to take me to do fun things like eating at Mick's! I remember playing at their house and staying over at their condo in Buckhead and just having such a blast. I will miss you Derrell
